6th Feature Shoot Emerging Photography Awards until 8 January 2021

Deadline: 8 January 2021. CALL FOR ENTRIES: FEATURE SHOOT’S 6TH ANNUAL EMERGING PHOTOGRAPHY AWARDS!
Over the last 5 years we have helped launch the careers of dozens of photographers through The Emerging Photography Awards and we are excited to announce that our annual international photography competition for up-and-coming image makers is back! We have a great lineup of judges that are ready to see work of all genres.
And this year due to economic hardships faced by many in the photography community, we’ve lowered the submission fee to $25.
Because one of our main goals of the Emerging Photography Awards is getting the work of photographers seen, we are especially excited about the exhibitions this year since they will be viewed by tens of thousands of people in person across the UK and (of course) internationally, online.
This year, 3-5 selected photographers will be featured as part of FORMAT21 Festival in the UK. FORMAT is the UK’s leading international contemporary festival of photography and related media and the festival welcomes over 100,000 visitors from all over the world to its biennale.
In addition to this exhibition another 10 photographers will have their work exhibited on the streets of East London for a week as part of a group poster exhibition.

Prizes:

SELECTED PHOTOGRAPHERS WILL RECEIVE ONE OR MORE OF THE FOLLOWING:

– Group photography show at format21 festival in the uK – 3-5 selected photographers will be featured as part of FORMAT21 Festival in the UK.

– Group POSTER show on the streets of london! – 10 photographers selected by the judges will have one of their images exhibited as part of a week long poster exhibition on the streets of East London.

– Feature Shoot Instagram Takeovers – One photographer each week until the closing date for entries will be selected to ‘takeover’ the Feature Shoot Instagram with 3 images from their submission (reaching 235K+ followers).

– People’s Choice Awards – Soon after you enter, submissions will be featured here on our website and be up for a People’s Choice Award. Entrants are encouraged to share their post on the blog and every 2 weeks we will award the entry with the most “hearts” a copy of all of the Feature Shoot PDF photography guides, including 50 Top Photography Websites Accepting Submissions (and How You Can Apply); our latest guide – 52 Photography Grants You Should Know About; and others.
