Story; Reportage Photography Exhibition ends 27 February 2023

Deadline: 27 February 2023. The Glasgow Gallery of Photography’s mission is to advance the arts, heritage and cultural sector through exhibitions of photographic works as a means for artistic, community and personal expression.

The Glasgow Gallery of Photography is running a month long exhibition in May called Story. We know that a picture is worth a thousand words and that a lot of can be expressed with a single image, so we want to see your work that can tell us so much with just one image. This is an exhibition that will showcase work that is able to tell a story in a single image, this could be through documentary photography, reportage or maybe even street photography.

Story is an open call for photographers to submit up to 8 images that tells a story within a single image.

Photographers who are selected will have their work displayed for a month long exhibition.
Work will appear online in our online gallery on our website.

We want you to send your best images. We want work from both emerging and established photographers. You do not need to be a professional photographer to participate as we believe that photography is for everyone.

This is a unique opportunity to bring your work to an audience of Artist, Photographers, and Creatives as well as the public.

Prizes:

If selected the photographer’s work will be printed and displayed in a photography exhibition at the Glasgow Gallery of Photography for one month. Their work will also be displayed in an online gallery on our website. Also they will be in with a chance to be named photographer of the month.
