GLF Africa Photography Awards ends 29 July 2024

Deadline: 29 July 2024. With vast natural resources to support its food systems, livelihoods, markets and growing young population, Africa has an unprecedented opportunity to restore its degraded landscapes, cater to the needs of its people and pave a sustainable way forward for all of humanity.

We’re thrilled to announce the launch of the GLF Africa 2024 Photography Awards. Whether you’re a professional or amateur photographer, we’d love to see your photos showcasing the continent’s vast landscapes in all their grandeur.

We want to show the world stunning images of Africa’s diverse peoples and their way of life across its various landscapes. So, get your cameras ready and snap us your best shots of tropical forests, grasslands, drylands, peatlands, wetlands, the ocean and coasts – and African livelihoods.

Entries will be accepted until 29 July. Finalists will be announced by mid August, with winners announced on 13 September. The best photos will be showcased at the GLF Africa 2024 Hybrid Conference and featured on the GLF’s Flickr account.

Prizes:

– Cash prizes of USD 400 (1st place), USD 300 (2nd place) and USD 200 (popular vote).
– A spread and interview on ThinkLandscape.
– A showcase at the GLF Africa 2024 Hybrid Conference.
